Costco Panasonic camcorder PV-GS83 – is it the same as PS-GV85?
Panasonic official website has two entry level camcorders – PV-GS80 and PV-GS85. But Costco is selling a PV-GS83. I would like to know if it is like a GS85. There are three differences between the 80 and the 85:
1. 85 has a USB port, 80 does not (The 83 has one)
2. 85 has a SD card slot, 80 does not (83 ???)
3. 85 has high shutter speed control, 80 does not (83??)
I am most interested in number 3

The 83 has usb port, sd card slot, but I’m not sure about that high shutter speed control. Maybe if you look at the manuals you can figure it out. Good luck! By the way, these are very high quality cameras and I recommend them. MiniDV tapes are still the best quality media besides harddrive disk.
