Will my regular electric meter stop recording, or will it bill ME for energy flow, although flow is TO grid?
Solar PV system is now on roof, and professionally connected to grid. But power company hasn’t installed the reverse-able meter yet.
When our production exceeds our consumption, will the current meter, which only increases KWH count, continue to increase with each KWH that flows TO the grid, or will it stop recording until our consumption exceeds our production?

To assume that I didn’t get a contract is stupid. All the paperwork WAS done first.
What I didn’t do was get the answer to my question BEFORE or DURING installation, ’cause I didn’t realize that it would take a couple of weeks extra to get the new meter installed — two weeks i’d like to be in Florida while my PV system makes some money for me in New York. By the way, the $20,000 grant from NYSERDA, and the $7,000 Fed and state tax credits would be STUPID to pass up.
Your current meter will actually reverse when your production exceeds your consumption. The one your power company will be installing takes into account that you are supplying green power.
