why does my computer keep shutting off when i try to ?

hi i got a windows vista desktop computer .. i got 239 GB free of 362 and all my updates are installed .. but for some reason my pv keeps shutting off when i try to burn certain movies and when i try to render a video using SV pro 7 it only gets to like 7 % and then completely shuts down no screen no othing just goes off !!! why ?? plz help me …
Its a new PC and i have dOne this before ….. and had no problems … it just recently started doing this …

i have a windows vista too and the same thing happened to me so i recommend a cooling pad because you computer is most likely overheating from the intense heat released from it.
