I need help fixing my camera!!?
ok so i have this camera http://www.radarthis.com/images/panasonic-PV-GS32-digital-camcorder.jpg
and i have had it for about 2 years and today I saw that my laptop’s charger had the same shaped hole for my camera’s Wire thing (it’s a wire that you plug into the camera and you plug in the other end into an outlet so you wouldn’t have to use the battery) I used the laptop’s charger to see if it would work and now my camera isn’t turning on
did i do something?
is really broken?
do i just need for it to cool off?
are there any other ways of fixing it beside getting it repaired?
Assuming that you plugged the laptop charger into the DC In port of your camcorder (which is what it sounds like since you say the holes were similar), you have very likely fried your camcorder’s power supply. Always check the amp or watt rating on a charger (it will be printed on the wall wart itself) and make sure it matches what your device needs. Your laptop charger probably has a higher rating, and the camcorder couldn’t handle it. I would forego trying to get it repaired. A repair will cost almost as much as a new camcorder, and they’ll charge you $100 just to look at it.
